There are now reports that eBay will be coming to Nigeria and two other African Countries soonest which include Ghana and Kenya, however this recent change of mind is through a new partnership with MallforAfrica. The new partnership will allow products form all sellers (Us Sellers) to be bought through MallforAfrica shoppers in Nigeria and Kenya.
However according to the MallforAfrica’s CEO, Chris Folayan
“We are creating a unique ‘eBay Powered by MallforAfrica’ app to run on all our platforms. When buyers in Africa shop with this app, they’ll be able to
shop on eBay, buy what they want, check out, and pay through MallforAfrica.”
This new service will reportedly start in Nigeria early July, and then gradually roll out to Kenya, followed by Ghana.
Once this partnership kicks off you will be able to purchase goods from eBay using your local currencies through MallforAfrica, then in return, MallforAfrica with handle the delivery of goods including shipping and will also ensure the money is returned back to the vendor in dollars.
