Google Duo takes over Pokemon Go Top-Spot on Android
In less than three days after Google unleashed its new Google Duo video-calling service, the app has taken over the the No. 2 spot on top-free apps on Google Play store edging out the popular Pokemon Go, which we thought would never leave the top spot so soon.
Facebook Messenger, for now is still the current champion on top of the list, as we still expect more changes soon, which you can view from your droid device.
Google Duo app, currently stands as Google’s answer to Apple’s FaceTime calling service, is also gaining users on Apple devices as well. Right now it’s No. 22 for iPhone users in the free apps category and coming strong to No. 4 in the free social-networking app category, according to AppShopper.
Google’s response to FaceTime, Google Duo launched in May at I/O developer conference, and what makes Google Duo stand out is that you can see a live video feed of who’s calling you even before you pick up the call.
