Steps To Opt Out Of Those Annoying MTN Messages

Steps To Opt Out Of Those Annoying MTN Messages
With the rise of sms based subscriptions, I don’t think there is any Nigerian that has not gotten a taste of Spam messages from out Telecom giants, especially from MTN.

Steps To Opt Out Of Those Annoying MTN Messages

  • If you have, there is good news for us all, but for now, it is only available to MTN users. There is a code that will allow you easily opt out of those annoying MTN subscriptions. (P.S: I have personally tried this out, so yes, it does work).
HOW TO OPT-OUT
  • From your device, Type in *123*5*1#
You will immediately see a window showing you available subscriptions (Of course, only an insane person will intentionally subscribe) and your active subscriptions.

  • Select 2, from there you can see the services you are subscribed to. Just use the codes listed to unsubscribe from the services that have been bugging your phone, for me it was everything listed on that page.

And that is all you need to stop receiving all these spammy messages from MTN.

Also apart from *123*5*1#, you can also use *123*5*2# – Pls note that this works only for MTN.
