Facebook has completed its plans to rebrand WhatsApp and Instagram which was announced earlier, to “WhatsApp from Facebook”, and “Instagram from Facebook”.
Reports indicate that the management of Facebook believed that the name change will help users on the platform to know that WhatsApp and Instagram are owned by Facebook.
Though both chat apps were born outside of Facebook, and have their own unique corporate cultures and have thrived, in part, by having their own identities with consumers. Founders of the photo-sharing app and the messaging service left Facebook in 2018.
The latest update of both Instagram and Whatsapp platforms has adopted the changes and users can now see “WhatsApp from Facebook” when they go to settings.
The new changes will be appear once you update your app to the latest version form the Apple iOS store or Android play store.
